That Was a Close Call!

I like to visit our local arboretum and track the deer that reside there. Yesterday I was out on what I think of as the "bluebird" path now. I spotted a deer grazing in the distance, near the tree line. I was watching her, strolling along when I heard a loud rustle on the other side of the path. A LOUD rustle. I looked, and there was a bushy white with black tail . . . very close. Yep, a skunk!!! OH S*IT!!! I quickly turned back on the path. The skunk did not follow.

Whew.
